A Relaxed, Intimate, and Natural Yacht Wedding in the Bay

No sponsors. No flower girls. No best man or bridesmaid. No invitation. No bouquet. Just pure love on a yacht and cruisin’ with dear friends.

Adrian and Regina were my 2020 couple. Their wedding was supposed to be held in Tagaytay, but Taal erupted, and then COVID-19 happened. Having rescheduled twice, they decided to just get married in the simplest and most intimate way–on a cruise with just seven of their closest friends and cousin.

It was a sunset wedding, with soft clouds that made the whole seascape appear soft. The ceremony was brief but touching, followed by a cruise in Manila bay in the evening. This scene was very relaxing as they drink-and-chill, and exchanged laughter, smiles and stories, while enjoying the beautiful cityscape and cool breeze. Their night ended with a simple buffet in the hotel.

Documented in a natural and candid style, the shoot was almost journalistic, focusing on the emotions, the feel and what the moment gave, just as how Adrian and Regina wanted it to be. Weddings, no matter the size, will always be special.

Ethan and Serene’s Fun Story

Last January, my former couple, Steph and Eugene, (see their engagement photos here)gathered with their families and a few friends to celebrate their twins, Ethan and Serene’s fun story of their baptism and first birthday.

They were dressed as Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story movie.

The fun story started with their blessing and baptism at Christ the King Church, followed by a short family portraits and the birthday gathering at their house. Most of the guests who were not able to attend to follow protocols tuned in to their live preview.

Let babies be babies! So the twins changed in their most comfortable wear to get curious in their playpen!

Steph and Eugene were very thankful for the their families and friends for showing their love and thoughtfulness to Serene and Ethan. Truly, the pandemic shows that people could still stay connected and express their love in creative ways!

Sckye’s the Limit!

Last March 2021 was Sckye’s maternity and family photo shoot at the Mango Farm.

The area was to ourselves so safety was secured, and the kids, Mia and Margot were able to play and run freely!

One cute moment was when we were shooting their family photo, Mia repeatedly ran to the camera and back to her fam, and I let her (but just not close enough, hehe, I asked her to go back as she ran nearer!)

We spent a few moments for Sckye’s solo portraits, and I liked Sckye started talking to Noah and caressing her belly.

We’re happy to have had this opportunity to shoot and capture memories before a lockdown again. Indeed, it’s an invitation for all of us to create more memories with our families as much as we can. 🙂

Paul, Pia and Pipay’s Family Vacation

I love seeing my couples’ families grow! And as an example, I took photos of Paul and Pia’s beautiful garden wedding at San Pablo, Laguna. Now, with their source of joy, Pipay, we headed to their parent’s vacation house at the middle of vast greens! Armed with just their smiles, the shoot was like a weekend of quality time–relaxing and playing with Pipay amidst natural setting– just perfect for a short getaway from work. I love that it was so simple, no setups, no styling (just our natural good tastes 😛 ).

Paul and Pia being bikers, a ride on a bike had to be a part of our shoot, and Pipay enjoyed it!

Jerome and Charmie: Morning After

My cousin, Charmie, got married to Jerome, whom she met a few years ago while working in the Middle East. We were all excited and frantic, even our relatives from afar went home to the Philippines to witness their I do’s in Roxas City, Capiz. We continued with the happiness in Boracay island, where I shot Charmie and Jerome’s post-nup.

It was a combination of trash-the-dress, adventure, and just hanging out kind of photo shoot.

Mark and Kate: Love and Travel

LIZ_7760

A day before their wedding, Mark and Kate spent their day walking, trekking, jumping, running, sitting, lying, rolling (just kidding!), smiling and laughing in the mountains and beaches of Basco, Batanes for their engagement shoot. It was a sunny but breezy day, perfect for a relaxed and adventurous shoot, very casual and nothing formal. It was Mark and Kate’s first time to see the sights of Batanes, and their idea was to tour while we shoot, and just enjoy the view and the moment–a leisure slash work.

LIZ_6866 LIZ_7432 LIZ_7347 LIZ_7700 LIZ_7620 Batanes was perfect for them as they are both photo enthusiasts, chill, with an adventure in their hearts. 🙂

Venues: Marlboro Mountain, Chawa View Deck, White Beach, House of Dakay, Alapad Pass, Basco Cathedral
